Sept 10, 2010--The "Proverbial Pipeline"
Whats coming down the Pipe?

Welcome to my laboratory. I'm on a road to discover whats coming down the "Proverbial Pipeline". I'm putting new inventions and new ideas to the test, I want to find out which ones work and well... which ones don't. More than that I want to map out these test dummies so when I find a winner I can repeat it, more importantly so that you can repeat it. The idea is to find inovations, do the ground work and figure out the logistics. Then once we know what kind of pony we're riding, pass  that information on to you so you can enjoy better yeilds, disease resistance, maturity or whatever the case may be. So lets get down to business and find out " whats coming down the pipe".

First Stop-- The Cream of the Copper

Anyone who has wandered through our doors in the past few years has probably heard one of us rambling on about copper. It is becoming increasingly evident that our crops are showing evidence of deficiencies. The importance of micro nutrients may be new to many of us, since it is only recently that research has discovered their role in regards to the macro's. But before you wipe copper of the ingredient list for this cake, take a lot look at some of the trials and research we are doing and see why copper really is "The Cream of the Crop".

Here is a link to the research paper on copper Copper Field Trial Or come and see our Trial Results book.

Would you like Boron with that?

Another flavor in the Micro Nutrient game that has the potential to increase your yield is Boron. Check out pictures from our  Boron trials. They tell a more convincing story than words do. Click on this link to our Boron Field Trial

Hard panning or easy growing, the choice is yours.

Overall, subsoiling is not an entirely new idea. However, it may be time to raise the topic again. Agrowplow from Australia has created a newer design of subsoiler that shatters the hard pan with a two inch wide tip. You may be suprised to know that subsoiling with an agrowplow is happening just across the border in Blueberry Mountain. I visited a farmer there who purchased a 29 shank machine. They plan to subsoil all their acres to alleviate the hard pan that has developed six to twelve inches below the surface. Agrowplow

Have we maxed out plant vigor?

I dont believe we have to settle for our current plant vigor whatever that may be. I know there is ever developing products and technology advancing us to new levels of plant growth. Whether or not the new product VigorMax is the ticket to get us there is yet to be seen. There is a hand full of variables to overcome and pro's and con's to measure before we close the file on this case.
